Wolverines announce 2014-15 schedule

The Calumet Wolverines Senior “A” Hockey Club 2014-15 Great Lakes Hockey League schedule has been finalized, beginning with the team’s home opener on Friday, December 5 against rival Portage Lake Pioneers.
In total the Wolverines will play 20 GLHL games, including four games each against regional rivals Portage Lake and Eagle River. The season will wrap up with the Gibson Cup series March 19-21 and the GLHL Tournament March 27-29, which will be in Houghton.
The Wolverines second home game will also be against Portage Lake, renewing a holiday tradition on January 2-3. Another highlight weekend will be a late-season three-game home stand. The weekend is wrapped around CopperDog 150 events, and includes games Friday and Saturday nights, as well as a Sunday afternoon tilt.
The GLHL includes nine teams this year, with the only change coming in south Wisconsin as the Blues have moved from Madison to Monroe.
